B. Douglas Hayes is a partner at Yoder, Ainlay, Ulmer
& Buckingham, LLP. His practice areas include trust and estate planning,
probate, elder law, and corporate law.
He received his J.D. magna cum laude from the University
of Notre Dame in 1989, and was admitted to the bar the same year. He
earned a bachelors degree in music from Fort Wayne Bible College, summa
cum laude, in 1983. He is board certified as an Indiana Estate Planning and Administration Specialist.
Mr. Hayes has spoken at many seminars on estate planning
and elder law. He is the author of "Secular Humanism in Public
School Textbooks: Thou Shalt Have No Other Gods (Except Thyself)," 63
Notre Dame Law Review 358, 1988; and "Bankruptcy Law - The Standard
for Rejecting Collective Bargaining Agreements in Bankruptcy: Labor
Discovers it Ain't Necessarily So," 63 Notre Dame Law Review
79, 1988. He is a regular contributor of articles to the Goshen
News on elder law and estate planning.
Mr. Hayes is currently serving as a Board Member of the
Bashor Children's Home and as Board Member and President of RETA.
Mr. Hayes is a member of the Goshen City and Indiana
State Bar Associations, as well as the National Association of Elder
Law Attorneys.
